Descriptions:
National Museums
Scotland has a collections information system which is used to
catalogue and manage the information and digital assets relating to
objects and specimens in the collections. Projects are ongoing to
capture information about all the collections onto this system and
create records for all objects and specimens. Although the
catalogue is not currently available online, access is provided to
selected records from the system through the website.

Annual report
Descriptions:
National Museums Scotland administers the National Fund for
Acquisitions on behalf of the Scottish Executive. The Fund's Annual
Report lists grants made and objects acquired by museums,
galleries, libraries and record offices in Scotland, by financial
year.
