The dairy herd achieved a most memorable day and for the second
year in succession won the prestigious Tunnoch Trophy for winning
the Quey Derby.
Against some very prominent Ayrshire cattle breeders the
Kittochside herd managed to accumulate four first places, three
second places and three third places. Special awards were acheived
from the Ayrshire Cattle Society for the best group of Ayrshires
shown on the day. The young handler and showmanship award was
jointly won by Maggie MacDougall's daughters Louise and Mhairi.

Derby (quey is another term for heifer) and was third in the best
animal bred by an exhibitor. Kittochside Nora Louise was placed
second for a cow in milk and second as best animal bred by an
exhibitor and third for production inspection.
