Dr Gordon Rintoul, Director of National Museums Scotland has
been recognised in the Queen’s birthday honours list. He receives a
CBE for services to the museum sector.
Speaking of the award, Dr Rintoul said:
“I am proud and honoured that my work with National Museums
Scotland and in particular for the transformation of the National
Museum of Scotland has been recognised in this way. It couldn’t
have been realised without the tireless hard work and commitment of
a great team and I see this honour as recognition of the
achievements of all the staff here at National Museums
Scotland.”
