Letter to the Laird of Smeaton

Hear a letter from Mary, Queen of Scots to a supporter the Laird of Smeaton from Carlisle on 25 June 1568. The audio recording has been made using a 16th century accent that the Queen may have had, with influences from 16th century French and Scots. You can download a transcript of the letter here.
