What will my students do?
- Lecture: hear from the architect responsible
for the redevelopment of the National Museum of Scotland: the
award-winning Gareth Hoskins of Gareth Hoskins Architects. There
will be a Q&A during which students will be able to ask
questions.
- Tour: explore the redeveloped museum.
- Portfolio surgery: discuss and get advice on
portfolio development with a university representative.
- Meet the students: current architecture
students will describe and show work related to a current
university project.
- Universities marketplace: visit stalls
representing architecture departments in major Scottish
universities
- Careers in architecture - panel discussion,
Q&A: hear a short talk on studying architecture from
John Brennan, Programme Director and Senior Lecturer at the
University of Edinburgh, and then hear from a recently-qualified
architect. After this, students will be able to put their questions
to a panel consisting of: Gareth Hoskins, John Brennan and
anewly-qualified architect.
