As a national museum we use our collections, knowledge and
skills to make connections across Scotland and beyond. This
page outlines our policies for national and international
working.
National Programme
In 2011 we produced a new National
Programme 2011-2015 [54kb]. This strategy sets out our
aspirations to develop wider access to National Collections, ensure
sustainable networks exist to share and retain sector expertise and
play a productive role in sector development. More information on
the resulting programmes can be found on our Support for Museums pages.
You can view the presentation
from the National Programme strategy launch on 6 September 2011
here [4.3mb.
International Programme
In 2008 we produced a new International
Framework (2008-2014). This provides the strategic
framework for intensive development of our international role
alongside Scotland’s international development priorities.
