The Anson entered service in 1935.
They were widely used as training or transport aircraft for most of the war and several years after. Many were eventually sold on to civilian companies.
This Anson was operated by RAF units for 10 years. In civil ownership it was used for photographic survey work in England and Northern Ireland. Some of the fabric covering of this aircraft has been removed so the structure underneath can be seen.
