With a diverse range of events spaces and idyllic grounds, the museum is an ideal location for corporate or private events.

Only eight miles from the centre of Glasgow, the National Museum of Rural Life is set in a beautiful 170-acre farm. 

For up to 60 guests, facilities are available for day events such as meetings, lectures and team building activities. In the evening, up to 250 guests can enjoy the museum’s striking Alistair Grant Gallery with large picture windows overlooking the Scottish countryside.

The 170-acre farm offers unique opportunities for events such as away days, team building activities, product launches, animal shows, wedding photography, farmers’ markets and film and TV location filming.

Meetings at the National Museum of Rural Life

The National Museum of Rural Life offers a unique location for your next meeting, complete with catering, equipment and even a personalised tour of the museum’s 1950s working farm – a great way to reward your staff, colleagues and meeting attendees for all their hard work!

Choose how you would like the Learning Centre configured, and receive all refreshments, lunch, stationery and equipment, plus an optional farm tour, for just £25 per person*.

All bookings include:

  • Hire of Learning Centre (seats up to 20 boardroom-style or 50 theatre-style)
  • Tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival
  • Buffet lunch including a selection of sandwiches, spicy potato wedges and fresh fruit juice
  • Afternoon tea, coffee and biscuits
  • Jugs of water and glassware provided throughout the day
  • Flipchart and delegate stationery
  • Projector and screen if required
  • Optional tour of our 1950s working farm, including a ride aboard the Farm Explorer tractor-trailer

* £25 per person daily delegate rate includes VAT and applies to groups of 10 or more. For groups of less than 10, a room hire charge of £50 per half day/£100 per full day applies.
