Knowledge Exchange Training
Every year we provide free workshops to
colleagues in Scotland’s museums.
Current courses for the 2011/2012 season can be found below.
Please use the online booking facility to register your interest in
the course in the first instance, alternatively please download the
registration
form.
More courses and workshops will be
advertised shortly. Please check back soon.
New! Responsive programme
From this year we aim to respond to specific collection skills
and knowledge needs by running more workshops locally. Please
contact us on partnerships@nms.ac.uk
with any suggestions for activities that would be helpful to a
group of people from your museum or for a regional forum or network
you are involved in. See the list of previously run courses below
for ideas.
Cost
The National Museums Scotland Knowledge Exchange programme is a
free series of events designed to support Scotland’s museum sector.
Participants will require to meet their own travel and subsistence
costs.

courses
We are keen to run our events across Scotland and develop the
Knowledge Exchange programme further. Below is a list of previously
run courses, and we welcome suggestions for new courses as
well.
We take a collaborative approach to running courses locally, in
that we can provide a trainer and content if a venue is provided
and local participant involvement is arranged. Some courses may
need to be adapted to fit with the venue circumstances. Courses are
provided according to National Museums Scotland staff availability
per annum. Groups can approach us to run courses in their local
area, or for more information on National Partnerships at National
Museums Scotland.
