On the ground

All day action on the ground from pipe bands to motorcyle stunts and crafts to an aerial circus at the Airshow, National Museum of Flight, East Fortune on Saturday 28 July 2011.

On the ground aerial pursuits

  • The Haddington Pipe Band open the Airshow and parade whilst performing traditional pipe and drum tunes
  • East Coast FM will play music and conduct interviews throughout the morning
  • Forth One's Big Bad Saturday Show with Boogie and Dingo will broadcast live from the Airshow in the morning
  • Squibb Freestyle will take to the air in his amazing motorcycle stunt display on a specially built ramp

  • Concorde Hangar will have the Circus Skills Workshop with Aviatricks where you can sign up for aeriel workshops, watch acrobalance, stilt walking, balloon modelling and magicians throughout the day
  • Musical Youth and Encore, will perform popular songs from the Second World War
  • In the Craft and Culture Marquee, meet local jewellery and collectable crafters, take part in make and take sessions and object handing
  • Her Majesty's Armed Forces bring the exciting Royal Navy Target Football Game and Royal Marine Commando Challenge
  • Watch powerful robots race round an obstacle course with Rampaging Chariots
