Farm explorer and sheep

Explore the farm

The sights, sounds and smells of Wester Kittochside Farm give you a real sense of life in the countryside as it used to be.

1950s style farming

Farming still carries on today at Wester Kittochside but the farm is run according to agricultural methods and practices of the 1950s.

To get to the farm you can follow the path through the green, open fields or jump aboard our Farm Explorer. On your way you'll pass sheep grazing and Highland cows chewing and mabe see Mairi our Clydesdale horse and our mischevious pigs. You may even be in time to see our Ayrshire cows being milked.

Don't forget to step inside the farmhouse to see what domestic life was like on the 1950s farm and find out more about the Reid family that lived there.
