Stories of the World: Sounds Global

Jethro Kinavuidi

Jethro Kinavuidi: Music is not just a part of my identity, it is all of me'

Jethro came to Scotland from the Democratic Republic of Congo, in 2008. Persecuted for his political opinions, it was too dangerous for him and his family to stay. His album Thank-You Glasgow, raises awareness of the situation there.

For Jethro, music was a way of becoming a part of the community in Glasgow.

The YouTube video below shows Jethro performing 'Thank-you Glasgow'.
