Adventure Planet

Our planet is an amazing place for adventures – whether it’s uncovering the skeleton of a dinosaur in our 'Dino dig', dressing up to dive to the bottom of the sea or crawling through the roots of a giant oak tree to discover the species living there. What will you discover?

Things to see

Encounter, explore, investigate – in Adventure Planet you can do all of these things. The gallery is organized into three areas:

Encounter brings you face to face with amazing specimens from the natural world.

Explore lets you have hands-on fun with nature – you can enjoy identifying mystery animals from tracks, smells and other clues, or explore life inside a cow pat.

Investigate gets you close to real specimens.

Red squirrel
Bullfrog
Sparrowhawk

Don’t miss…

Get up close to a black rhino, marvel at the quartz and amethyst crystals inside a geode, match fossils, measure yourself against a stegosaurus and place your hands into the tracks of a dinosaur from Skye.
