Treasured: Wonderful Things, Amazing Stories

The Treasured exhibition celebrated the wonder and diversity of the world class collections destined for the new galleries at the National Museum of Scotland.

Spanning 500 million years and all five continents, Treasured gave a first glimpse of some of the exhibits to feature when the new galleries open in 2011. Spectacular objects, extraordinary things, precious works of art, personal favourites – the 300 treasures on display came in all shapes and sizes, from ancient fossils to 21st century jewellery.
