Lewis Chessmen Tour
Thirty chessmen join forces to go on tour in 2010!
Six chessmen from National Museums Scotland and 24
from the British Museum are joining forces to visit the
National Museum of Scotland, Aberdeen Art Gallery, Shetland
Museum & Archives and Museum nan Eilean in Stornoway.
This exciting exhibition will look at the mystery and
intrigue surrounding the chessmen, explore the stories surrounding
their discovery and show how the characters reflected society at
the time they were made.
