See Scotland by Train events

Climb on board for a series of events celebrating our See Scotland by Train exhibition at National Museum of Scotland, which tracks a century of evolving poster art, from the Golden Age of train travel through nationalisation to privatisation.

See Scotland by Train themed tours

Dates: Tue 8, Fri 18, Fri 25, Sat 26, Wed 30 May (and dates in June tbc)
Time: 13:00 – 14:00
Cost: Free, suitable for adults

Meet your guide at the Entrance Hall Meeting Point on Level 0 and take a journey to explore our train-related collections, including the exhibition itself.

Saturday Showcase: Railway Posters, Past and Present

Date: Sat 16 June
Time: 13:30–16:00
Cost: £10, £8 Concession and Members, refreshments included, suitable for adults.

Speakers from the National Railway Museum andthe London Transport Museum explore the history of the railway posters and share stories about posters past and present. Refreshments included.

Railway film season at Filmhouse

Discover some hidden railway cinematic gems as the Filmhouse presents a season to accompany our See Scotland by Train exhibition.
