Museum Takeover Day To celebrate the launch of our Scotland Creates gallery intervention and Kids in Museums' Takeover Day 2013, young people are taking over our events programme for the day! Info Zone, Level 3 Time: 10:00-17:00 The Info Zone is being taken over by local young people from Prepare for Work and Study Group at Gate 55, Sighthill. Browse through science books they've selected especially for the day. Miniature Dinosaurs Songwriting Workshop Please note the workshop is now fully booked. Time: 10:00-16:30 Where: Studio 1, Learning Centre, Level 4 Suitable for: Age 16-24 years Join Scottish rock band Miniature Dinosaurs for a song writing workshop, taking inspiration from the Museum's collection. No experience required but feel free to bring along your own musical instrument. After working on a song, you'll end the day with a chance to perform on stage with the band! Lunch and bus fare included. Alex's Amazing Adventure Times: 14:00, 14:30 (30 mins) Venue: Grand Gallery Suitable for: All ages This interactive science show, presented by S3 pupils from Holy Rood RC High, involves the whole family in investigating the way we travel. Surprise event Time: 15:00 Venue: Grand Gallery Expect the unexpected! Miniature Dinosaurs Live Time: 16:00 (30mins) Venue: Grand Gallery Miniature Dinosaurs end the day in style with a live performance in the Grand Gallery.
