Support us
With your support, the Royal Museum Project will transform a
much loved national landmark into a museum for the 21st century and
beyond.
Register your details to keep up to
date with all of the exciting developments and to find out how you
can support the project!
The significance of the Project has been recognised by major
awards from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Scottish Government,
totalling £34 million. We are seeking a further £12 million from
other sources to complete the Project, and have already amassed
over £10 million in donations and
pledges. But there’s still some way to go.
We invite your help to ensure that collections will be preserved
for future generations, and to send visitors new and old on their
own voyages of discovery in the new Museum.
There are many ways in which you can make a difference:
Donations
Generous private donations have already been made to the
Project, but more are needed to help us reach our goal. We welcome
both one-off
and regular
gifts spread throughout the campaign.
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase your support by making a
Gift Aid declaration. This Inland Revenue scheme means that for
every £1 you give, we can claim an extra 28p, at no extra cost to
you.
The Gift of Shares
Giving shares can benefit both you and the Royal Museum
Project, thanks to valuable tax relief. If you would like further
information about this please contact the Campaign Team.
Legacies
A gift in your will can make an enduring contribution, bringing
pleasure to visitors and preserving objects for generations. As
gifts to charities are exempt from inheritance tax, a bequest can
also relieve some of the tax burden on your estate.
A gift in memory
Making a donation in memory of a loved one will provide a
lasting legacy and afford you the opportunity to remember someone
special in the new National Museum of Scotland.
Recognition
We value every gift to the Royal Museum campaign. We would
welcome the opportunity to talk to you about ways in which you
would like to support the Project, and how we may recognise your
contribution.
Every contribution, large or small, is important to us. If you
