Gift Aid

Why not make your donation worth another 25% for free?

You can make your donation worth even more to National Museums Scotland - and provide valuable support for the vital work we do. As a charity, the money we can reclaim from Gift Aid can make a world of difference to our work.

If you are a UK tax payer there are two ways you can help.

Admission prices

Our admission prices include a 10% voluntary donation, which means we can claim an additional 25p in every £1 you give if you agree to National Museums Scotland reclaiming the tax paid on the admission.

Gift AidMembership subscriptions and donations

You can also enable us to reclaim 25% on all your membership subscriptions and donations. Just tick the Gift Aid box on the membership form.

How Gift Aid helps

The money generated through Gift Aid is very important to National Museums Scotland. It helps us to strengthen and conserve our collections and enable us to carry out vital work and research that may otherwise not happen.

What you pay in UK income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount National Museums Scotland claims in the tax year.
