Volunteers programme

National Museums Scotland has approximately 200 volunteers making a valuable contribution to our work.

There are opportunities to volunteer at most of our museums. Volunteers help in many of our departments and play an important role, increasing our visitors' enjoyment and understanding of our collections.

Volunteering

Volunteering at National Museums Scotland Volunteering opportunities are open to individuals aged over 16 years. Volunteer placements may be available on a short or long-term basis. Find out more.
