This intimate museum, within the battlements of such a
strategically-important fortification, reflects the lives of the
many thousands of Scots who have been affected by war. The objects,
the individual stories and the events which are detailed reveal the
extent to which conflict and military service have influenced this
proud nation’s history, created its sense of identity, and enhanced
its reputation abroad.
