We are currently looking for a biodiversity survey volunteer at the National Museum Collections Centre.

Location: National Museum Collections Centre, West Granton, Edinburgh

Opportunity: National Museums Collections Centre is where the national collection is developed, researched, interpreted, preserved, and prepared for display across
the country and internationally. Located in Granton, Edinburgh, this site is key to the delivery of the Museum’s strategic plan including our priority to be well advanced on the path to a carbon neutral footprint and a respected resource for understanding climate and biodiversity challenges. Aligned with this strategic priority, we are committed to developing the biodiversity of the Collection Centre and are delivering a Biodiversity Action Plan which involves identifying and documenting the animals and plants that live in the grounds of the Collection Centre and fostering biodiversity. There is an exciting opportunity for volunteers to join our own teams at the Collection Centre to undertake a range of biodiversity tasks.

When required: This is a new volunteer role and we are looking at timescales, we hope you can commit to one or two days a month (Tuesday through Thursday).

Closing date for applications: Friday 22 May 2023

See the role description for full details of the tasks and the application form to note your availability.
