“I have had an interest in planes from a young age. My father was a pilot from the mid-1930s to the early 1950s. He flew many types of plane as a test pilot including Spitfire and Lancaster. All sorts of people visit us at National Museum of Flight and the joy of volunteering is sharing my enthusiasm with people of all ages. The payback is when at the end of a conversation someone thanks you and shakes your hand.- David, Volunteer Guide
