How should I prepare my class for this workshop?

This workshop takes place in our Wartime Life Room, with Museum Learning Staff leading your session. After or before the workshop, you will have the opportunity to look around the museum, castle and War Memorial. Maximum capacity 33 students.

What will my pupils do in the workshop?

Pupils will:

  • Handle original and replica objects from the museum collections.
  • Explore the uniform and kit of a soldier learning about conditions in the trenches.
  • Discuss the nature of evidence and the difference between primary and secondary sources.
