Why not turn your next learning display into a museum exhibition? In this workshop, pupils will work with collections from around the world to learn the skills that museum staff use to display, care for and promote our exhibitions.

How should I prepare my class for this workshop?

Please split your class into four groups and assign one adult helper per group. Maximum capacity 33 children. There is no need to have any knowledge of World Cultures before the workshop.

What will my pupils do in the workshop?

Pupils will:

  • Find out more about the roles of conservator, curator, designer, exhibitions officer and marketing officer
  • Handle and research objects relating to World Cultures
  • Select information to display about objects, design their exhibition and create a display
  • Each group to host their own exhibition for others to visit in the learning space.
