What will my pupils do in the workshop?

Explore the topic of transport though handling objects and our collection of aeroplanes, then find out what it was like to be a passenger on Concorde.

Pupils will:

  • Try on some airline uniform.
  • Find out about the different jobs on an airliner.
  • Find out about the process for getting on board an airliner.

Useful resources and activities

  • Get on board the Concorde and 707 in the Concorde Experience and The Jet Age hangar
  • Go outside and get on board the BAC1-11 and de Havilland Comet
  • Use the teachers' notes to guide you around the rest of the museum
