What will my pupils do in the workshop?

Which animals give us beef, mutton and pork? How does the wheat growing in a field turn into bread for your sandwiches? Investigate real objects to learn how people farmed in the past and plant some seeds to take back to school.

In this workshop pupils will:

  • Be introduced to how food gets from the farm to our plate
  • Make their own paper pot and plant a seed to take home with them
  • Handle real and replica objects to learn more about farming in the past.
