How should I prepare my group/class for this session?

Our Farm Tours are fun informative trips which involve a tractor trailer ride to/from the farm. In order for pupils (and teachers) to be comfortable during the tour, please dress for the weather, plan ahead to make sure you have appropriate clothing and protection for being outdoors.

Before your visit why not check out our Farm Matters page to keep up to date with what your class might see at the farm each season?

What will my pupils do in the workshop?

Pupils will take a short 10-minute tractor ride to the farm led by one of our Visitor Experience team. They will find out about the historic breeds we keep at the farm and the work we do there, the history of the Reid family and meet some of our resident animals. They’ll also get a chance to see the dairy and have a go at milking our model cow Myrtle!
