We are continuing to accept applications for support from the National Fund for Acquisitions while working remotely. Please contact us at nfa@nms.ac.uk to discuss potential acquisitions.
We can pay any outstanding grants if you submit your grant claim form (let us know if you need a copy of the form). We can also delay grant payments beyond our usual three-month deadline if that is what is required.

National Museums Scotland manages the Fund on behalf of the Scottish Government. Grant applications are processed in consultation with our specialist staff, the National Galleries of Scotland and the National Library of Scotland. We work together to promote the Fund, its activity and benefits to users of Scotland’s collections.
In 2019-20 the Fund made 55 payments totalling £158,554, enabling 23 organisations across Scotland to make acquisitions worth £870,875. You can apply to the NFA for assistance with a purchase if you meet the Fund guidelines.
