Our National Training Programme offers free, basic collections knowledge and skills training for Scottish museums.

Individuals either directly employed by, or volunteering with, a museum organisation in Scotland, who can demonstrate the benefit of the training to their organisation’s collections, are eligible to apply for a place on any of our advertised courses.

Introduction to Integrated Pest Management & Object Labelling

This workshop aims to improve participants’ general awareness of the damage insects and other pests can cause to collections and show how all staff can help to prevent serious damage. It will also provide specialist training in object labelling for collections staff who work with objects on a regular basis, with reference to the current Collections Link standards for labelling and marking objects.
