Louise Innes is Principal Transport Project Curator.

Louise is the lead curator for a project that will transform the National Museum of Flight at East Fortune and ensure that important aircraft are brought under cover and extensive collections are displayed for the first time.

Louise has a particular interest in pioneering women in the field of transport and industry. Louise is a member of the Railway Heritage Designation Advisory Board, Scottish Engineering Hall of Fame Selection Panel and RAF Heritage Aircraft and Museum Committee. She is an accomplished glider pilot with knowledge of the history of silent flight and has been successful in international coastal rowing races.

She also has particular expertise in cycle history, the Scottish car industry and air transport history. Her most recent publication is Scottish Bicycles and Tricycles.
