Get crafty, curious, and up-close with our fun summer holiday activities.

Join us on Mondays and Fridays for a range of exciting, drop-in activities for the whole family. Each week, we will be exploring a new theme - from Scottish stories to around-the-world adventures, there will be something new to discover.

Mon 7 and Fri 11 Jul

Across the Seas 

Join us in the Grand Gallery for creative crafts inspired by journeys across the sea and discover fab facts about some of the world's ocean voyagers.

Ocean Adventures

Our Ocean Adventure sessions are designed for under 5s and their accompanying adult. Embark on an intrepid adventure through sensory play, songs, rhymes, and movement.

Spaces are limited to 10 children and their accompanying adult. Sign up in the Grand Gallery from 10:30

Robot Races with Maths Week Scotland

Maths Week Scotland return with more robot races. Check out our handling trolley and craft activities in the Grand Gallery before robot walking your way to our Event Space to get hands-on with our coding robotics.

What’s That Sound?

Join our Learning Team in the Grand Gallery as we explore the theme of sound. Through demonstrations, games and activities, learn about the science behind the things we hear.

Technical Challenge

Don your engineering hard hat and take on our technical challenge. Inspired by iconic Scottish landmarks and objects in our collection, use simple craft materials to construct a model. How tall will your model be? Will it be strong and sturdy? Think. Plan. Build.
