Cancelled Event National Museum of Flight

A Vintage VE Day

10 May 2020

Step back in time and experience life in wartime Britain to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

This event has been cancelled.

Visit our vintage tea and cake tent, enjoy live music and dance demonstrations and learn about wartime fashion.  Then see what life was like on the front line with our military encampments, wartime re-enactors and live battle display.  With crafts, talks and family activities there's something for every generation to enjoy.

Wartime dancing

Enjoy social dance performances and there's a chance to join in and learn some steps.

Wartime tunes

Get in the mood with songs from the 1940s.

Second World War encampment

Visit our wartime camps, meet re-enactors to find out about life at the front, and see some military vehicles.
