Join us for the Annual Open Evening to find out more about our collections, the work that we do, and to hear about our plans for the future across all our museums. The event will be hosted by Ian Russell, our Chair, and Dr Chris Breward, our Director.

There will also be a special introduction to our Summer exhibition, and the opportunity for Q&As following the presentations.

This is a free but ticketed event. Please arrive via our Lothian Street / Brighton Street entrance at the back (south side) of the National Museum of Scotland. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival. Doors open at 17:45.

Access

We want everyone who comes to our museums to enjoy their time with us and make the most of their visit. 

  • There is level access to the Museum via Lothian Street.
  • There is an induction loop in the Auditorium. 
  • Guide dogs, hearing dogs and other recognised assistance dogs are admitted.
