Free, drop in
Orbit around our out-of-this-world Space themed activities.
Make a space monster or rocket at our craft station and drop by our Spark Cart for some intergalactic demos exploring the senses in space. Activities will run from 11:00 – 15:00 each day – please see below for details.
You can also book a ticket for a Cosmos Planetarium Show on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 February, or book to make your own Space themed electronic gadget with Madlab on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 February.

Use our colouring pens to transform a paper cup into your own space rocket and see how far you can make it fly! Then drop by our Spark Cart for some demos exploring sound in space.

Thursday 16 February
Use our colouring pens to transform a paper cup into your own space rocket and see how far you can make it fly! Then drop by our Spark Cart for some demos exploring smell in space.

Saturday 18 February

Access
We want everyone who comes to our museums to enjoy their time with us and make the most of their visit.
- There is level access to the Museum via the main doors to the Entrance Hall on Chambers Street and the Tower entrance at the corner of Chambers Street and George IV Bridge.
- Lifts are available to all floors and accessible toilets are available on most floors, as well as a Changing Places (U) toilet in the Entrance Hall on Level 0.
- There is an induction loop in the Auditorium.
- Guide dogs, hearing dogs and other recognised assistance dogs are admitted.
