Curator Lisa Mason discusses the legacy of visionary textile designer Bernat Klein and discovers how his design ethos is inspiring designers working today.
In a career spanning over 40 years, Bernat Klein designed fabrics for fashion and interiors and worked as a colour consultant and industrial designer. His design philosophy influenced fashion, fine art, interior design, architecture and colour theory, and continues to inspire artists and designers today.
Lisa Mason, curator of the current Bernat Klein: Design in Colour exhibition, joined contemporary designers Kestin Hare, Kirsty McDougall and Sam Reich to discuss Klein’s legacy as a designer, educator and theorist, as well as his enduring belief in design as a force for good in society.
This online event included an audience Q&A.
