Join us for an exclusive Member event to learn more about one of the most important documents in Scottish History.
Dated 6 April 1320, the Declaration of Arbroath asked the Pope to recognise Scotland's independence and acknowledge Robert the Bruce as the country's lawful king.
Join Dr Alice Blackwell, Senior Curator of Medieval Archaeology & History, and Dr Alan Borthwick, Head of Private Records for National Records of Scotland, to learn more about the Declaration of Arbroath from the experts, before the exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland opens on Saturday 3 June.
Following the presentations there will be a live Q&A session.
