Seal

Description

Red seal, with a bespoke leather case. The interior lid of the case has a handwritten inscription that reads: ‘The year of the Higyra 1187. The warlike King, Sword of God. The victorious Sovereign Tippoo Sultan. Exalted in dignity, high in Nobility. Prosperous in Fortune’: South Asia, India, Mysore, c1782 – 1783
