Bruce Nile Cup

Description

The Bruce Nile Cup, a silver mounted coconut shell cup, the nut bowl lined with silver with overlapping scalloped rim, set on a beaded baluster stem and fluted stepped trumpet foot, used by James Bruce to drink to the health of George III at Lake Tana, Ethiopia, on 4 November 1770
