Round earthenware dish; glazed blue and white ware. Interior, centre, flange and well are decorated with a landscape featuring rocks, bridges, trees and flowers in a bright, dark blue pigment. The landscape is surrounded by a double line in pale blue and a brown rim. On the exterior, two pale blue lines run under the rim and well, between which are painted four devices: two brick shaped, one diamond shaped and one oval. The exterior of the footring has a double line in blue and the centre has a painters mark. The quartz rich slip around the foot ring is bubbly and there is a rippling effect where the glaze is very thin. One area near the foot ring has been damaged before firing and is chipped in two places. Inside the foot ring there is slip but no glaze. The glaze is colourless and transluscent on both the exterior and interior. No crazing is visible, the interior has a few scratches. The blue pigment on the exterior is running into the glaze. On the interior, two cracks in the glaze run from the rim across the flange. Three areas on the exterior have cracks and slight chips.
