Description

Gold portrait ring; the oval head with a portrait painted in watercolour on ivory (?) of Princess Maria Clementina Sobieska (?), flanked by collet set square cut garnets or rubies (?), set on openwork shoulders and plain shank; the reverse with a scalloped border around a glazed panel of hair with twisted gold wire initials ‘CR’ surmounted by a crown
