Description

Triangular bronze inkstand on three clawed feet, decorated with a two-tailed siren flanked by putti, a battle of sea-creatures apparently derived from a Mantegna engraving, and an armed lady riding on a lion: Italian, Padua, early 16th century, altered to take a later lid
