Tabard / coat, herald's

Description

Herald's tabard or coat of yellow, blue and pink silk satin, embroidered in silk and gold thread with the arms of the Kingdom of Great Britain as used in Scotland under Queen Anne (1707-1714). The use of satin as the ground fabric suggests that this coat was worn by a Herald.
