Description

Length of silk fabric, woven with a ground pattern of pale grey, white and black which is figured with large floral bands, bouquets and smaller sprigs, and brocaded in blue, orange and pink, and purple with floral heads, one of eleven pieces which previously formed one mantua or dress: French or English, c. 1730 - 1732
