Description

Tomb figure (tudishen, earth spirit) with a bull's body and legs, bearded human head with a single horn on top, and wings on shoulders, of buff pottery covered with a transparent lead glaze coloured with washes of orange-brown, yellow and green, the head unglazed with traces of pigmentation: China, Tang dynasty, 618 - 907 AD
