Underpants, man's

Description

Man's underpants of bright purple machine-knitted silk, with a very narrow white stripe. Waistband features machine top stitching in white. Fastened at the waist with four pearl buttons. There is a crest on the wearer's left embroidered with M.A., standing for the Marquis of Anglesey. French, Paris, by Doucet Jeune, c. 1900.
