As part of the Ancient Egypt and East Asia National Programme, we are offering free basic collections knowledge and skills training for Scottish Museums.

Supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund and The Collections Fund - delivered by the Museums Association, we will offer training, support and guidance on working with ancient Egyptian and East Asian collections, audience development and museum practice.

Individuals either directly employed by, or volunteering with, a museum organisation in Scotland, who can demonstrate the benefit of the training to their organisation’s collections, are eligible to apply for a place on any of our advertised courses.  Priority will be given to partners of the Ancient Egypt and East Asia National Programme.
