Explore the National Museum of Flight on a self-led group visit.
Group visits are for groups of 10 or more wishing to visit the museum. These visits are self-guided, giving you the freedom to explore and enjoy all the museum has to offer.

Group types and prices
Educational groups
Educational groups include:
- UK school groups
- home-educated children
- college students studying to up to but not including degree level
Educational visits take place weekdays during school/college hours and within term time.
Nurseries for children of 5 and under are free of charge, with an adult to child ratio of 1:5 or 1:3 for under 2s. Adults are free within this ratio. If you need additional carers please contact us on groupsNMOF@nms.ac.uk.
All other educational groups, including holiday clubs, universities, and school groups from outside the UK come under ‘Other groups of 10 or more’ below.

Uniformed youth organisations
We welcome a wide range of uniformed youth organisations to the museum, including the Air Training Corps (ATC).
We are also able to offer workshops to help achieve Air Activity Badge levels 1-4 for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

Information for your visit
Where can we park?
Groups coming by coach or bus can use the designated coach parking area. Please check our museum map for exact directions.
Where can we leave our jackets and bags?
A limited number of storage lockers are available in our shop. Please speak to a member of our team about locker availability on arrival.
Where can we eat?
Aviator Café
Opening times: 10:00 - 17:00 (last orders 16:30)
The Aviator Café serves a full sit-in menu with a selection of hot and cold food and drink and takeaway options.

Lunchroom
We have a public lunchroom for packed lunches. If you would like to book a time for a large group, then please call 0131 247 4238.
Please speak to a member of our team for directions to this building on arrival.
Outdoor picnic area
We have outdoor picnic areas near the Assault Course and outside the Aviator Café for eating packed lunches.
Is there a museum shop?
Yes. The Museum Shop is next to the Aviator Café and sells a range of gifts for all ages.
