East Coast Buses, service 777 special service leaves from St Andrews Square (north side) at frequent intervals from 08:40–11:00 with stops along the route at Waverley Steps, Waterloo Place, Abbeyhill, Meadowbank House, Willowbrae, Duddingston Park South, The Jewel and Haddington Court Street.

CountyPLUS Day Ticket will take you to and from Edinburgh to the Airshow: Adult £7.50, Child £3.50, Family (up to 2 adults and up to 3 children) £18.00. A range of East Coast Buses Single and Day Tickets are also available (county zone E).

Daily service 121

The 121 service runs between Haddington and North Berwick via the National Museum of Flight on Monday to Sunday from 1 April to 31 October 2018. Download the 121 Bus Timetable.

By road

Temporary one-way system

To assist with traffic management during Scotland's National Airshow 2016, the B1347 (A199 to North Berwick Road) will be restricted to northbound, one way traffic only, from a point 280 metres north of its junction with the C116 Needless Road to the East Fortune entrance at the roundabout, used by Sunday market traffic, East Fortune. These restrictions will apply from 08:00 to 18:00 hours on Saturday 22 July 2018.

From Edinburgh

    • Follow the A1 south exit at Abbotsview Junction.
    • Take second exit from roundabout onto A199 for East Linton. After approximately 2.5 miles, turn left onto B1347 and follow the signs for the National Museum of Flight.
    • Look out for yellow AA road signs as you get closer.

From the south

    • Follow the A1 north to Thistlycross Roundabout.
    • Take the second exit to East Linton.
    • At Beltonford Roundabout take the second exit onto A199 for East Linton.
    • Drive to the next roundabout and take the second exit to East Linton on Mill Wynd (B1407).
    • At East Linton turn right onto Bridge Street (B1377).
    • Follow the road through East Linton, drive past the Markle junction and continue for approximately half a mile and take the next turning on the left to East Fortune, continuing to follow the B1377.
    • Follow this road through East Fortune village until you come to the junction with the B1347, turn left here to the Airshow.
    • Look out for yellow AA road signs as you get closer.

Parking

Please note that parking at the Airshow is £5. There is allocated parking for Disabled Blue Badge holders. If you have purchased your admission ticket AND parking ticket in advance, please follow the Red Lanes for faster parking.  Keep your tickets with you at all times for inspection. Parking for motorcycles is FREE and they do not need to pay for parking.

By bicycle

From Edinburgh

    • Travelling east out of Edinburgh, take Cycle Route 76 for approx 23 miles to Haddington.
    • Continue on Route 76 from Haddington, turn left towards A199, next turn right onto A199.
    • After approximately 2.5 miles, turn left onto B1347 and follow the signs for the National Museum of Flight.
    • Look out for yellow Airshow signs as you get closer.

From the south

    • Pick up Cycle Route 76, following the A199 from East Linton. After approximately 6 miles, turn right onto B1347 and follow the signs for the National Museum of Flight.
    • Look out for yellow Airshow signs as you get closer. Free bicycle parking
    • Parking for bicycles at the Airshow is free. Cycle into the Airshow entrance and ask for directions to the cycle parking.
