Our museums are reopening on Monday 26 April and tickets are now available for booking below.
We can’t wait to welcome you back!
Timed entry has been introduced to ensure that we can manage numbers and maintain physical distancing. Please book a free timed entry ticket online for every member of your group in advance of your visit. This includes National Museums Scotland Members.
Entry to The Galloway Hoard is free with pre-booked museum entry. Please note that physical distancing measures mean that numbers inside the exhibition gallery are limited, and museum entry does not guarantee entry to the exhibition.
There is a queuing system in place at the exhibition entrance, and our Visitor Experience team will ensure that as many people as possible are able to safely visit each day. National Museums Scotland Members receive priority access to the exhibition, but entry is subject to overall capacity. Thank you for your understanding as we work to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff.
Please be mindful of the restrictions in place for your local area and adhere to Scottish Government guidelines. To comply with these guidelines and to help us with NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect, we are currently unable to accommodate groups that are from more than one household, so please book up to six tickets for yourself and other members of your household only. Please make sure you have booked a ticket for every member of your group, including children under five years of age.
